Prepossessing, Kind, and Haunted St. Augustine and Anastasia Island

Mom. The three letter word of infinite love. I am more blessed than others of this I am certain for my mother is so much more than love; she is kindness, beauty, grace, intelligence, and adventurous all in one, yet I am only naming a few of her qualities. One night a few weeks back just before midnight she pranced into my room and said she wanted to go on an adventure. She wanted to go to the beach as well as do a ghost tour. Around noon the next day we ventured two hours to St. Augustine. This is one of my favorite towns for I am a lover of history as well as Florida. After spending some time in the sand of Anastasia Island we made our way to The Prohibition Era Kitchen for as I said I love history and also one of myself shows, Boardwalk Empire, was set in this era. The atmosphere is very cool with the most kind people. The manager Stephen was so kind for it was a Friday night and with all of the hustle and bustle of the crowds he took time to take me on a tour as well as go into details of the history. The restaurant was once an opera house that was partially burned and everything there form the steel posts to the wall of the bar has history of the original location. Incredible! Next we moved onto a ghost tour on the beach that included some time in a cemetery, our guide Jan was a blessing with a kind heart. On our journey back home it may have been dark but we were far from tired for we were touched by the beauty, kindness, and horror of St. Augustine as well as Anastasia Island.
